After Dad suffered two strokes, we needed dependable, compassionate care, and the manager has been nothing short of exceptional. Dad says she is "Top of The Pops!" and also that she's "superb; absolutely perfect" - high praise indeed from someone who can be very exacting and particular in the sorts of ways in which he likes to be treated! The manager has taken time to understand Dad's specific needs and preferences, providing personal care with dignity and respect. From prompting medication, meal preparation, offering to help with showering and shaving (and helping him brush his teeth); such daily visits give peace of mind to the family and what sets the manager apart is her genuine companionship. Dad feels comfortable with her, and their compatibility makes all the difference to his quality of life. As his care needs evolve, we're confident Juniva will continue adapting their support. Having Juniva as my mothers care provider was the best thing I've done for my mother's care. Since her hospital discharge, Juniva have looked after her medication; delivered personal care; assisted with shopping deliveries and the preparation of meals. Hearing aids, spectacles and other equipment are fitted by Juniva at the start of the day & removed at night. My mother has felt safe and at ease in her own home, able to rely on Judith to start her day, care for her during the day and ensure she is safely in bed at the end of the day. Any requests for additional help, such as laundry, are easily arranged as contract top ups. Juniva are especially good at requesting GP involvement where necessary to nip any health issue in the bud. Finally, Judith's demeanour helps to defuse any anxious conversations and puts my mother at ease. I would highly recommend Juniva Homecare for elderly support.
